Rockstar Games sequel to the 2004 Wild West adventure Red Dead Revolver is due for release in the Autumn 2009 on Xbox 360 and PS3 and today we get to see how its shaping up with the launch of the game's first trailer.
Red Dead Redemption will be set at the turn of the 20th century when the lawless and chaotic badlands began to give way to the expanding reach of government and the spread of the Industrial Age. The story follows former outlaw, John Marston, as he embarks on adventure across the American frontier.
Powered by Rockstar's RAGE engine, Red Dead Redemption will feature an open-world environment for players to explore, including frontier towns, rolling prairies teeming with wildlife, and perilous mountain passes - each packed with a variety of distractions. Along the way, players will experience the heat of gunfights and battles, meet a host of unique characters, struggle against the harshness of one of the world's last remaining wildernesses, and ultimately pick their own precarious path through a story about the death of the Wild West and the gunslingers that inhabited it.
Intrigue, suspense, whiskey, poker, dawn showdowns and loose women! Where do we sign?
Enjoy...
